About this test
Your neuro age based on your brain MRI is 50.2 years which is
We have shown that having a neuro age 5 years younger than your chronological age is associated with less risk of dementia and every year younger is helpful. You are close to optimal on your brain MRI test. Try implementing some of our brain aging tips to see if you can reduce you neuro age further on your next test.👇

About your result
Our brain shrinks with age. You can see in the below figure of the average MRI of 1000 brains of people of different ages that this is a gradual process that starts as early as in your twenties. The brain shrinks because of loss of connections between neurons (dendrites) and loss of neurons in some brain areas. Loss of grey matter volume has been shown to predict future dementia risk and memory loss. Not everyone's brain shrinks at the same rate. You can slow or reverse your brain shrinkage using our recommendations.

Exercise is one of the most important ways to increase grey matter volume. People in a recent study were able to increase their grey matter volume (thus dropping their neuro age by MRI) with as little as 25 minutes a week of exercise.
